I just finished a project documenting the "behind the scenes" of the Shelley Russets' 2007 football playoff run. Shelley won the state championship, capping an undefeated season. After winning state, 25 seniors played their last high school football game. Here are some of the pictures I liked:
The team.
Two seniors hug each other after their last football game.
Players celebrate in the locker room after winning state.
Assistant coaches tape players' ankles before a football game. Although taping ankles can prevent injuries, some players try to avoid the process. Once in a while the coaches have to force players to tape their ankles.
Players relax before a football game. Most Shelley students are tense and quiet before games, preferring to listen to death metal blaring from the locker room speaker system.
