the collinsville fire, one year later.

This is what the Collinsville looked like a year ago after a 4th of July fire destroyed half the town. A year later, some of the victims are trying to rebuild on the same plot of land while others have moved to other towns and start a new life.

Wow. What a year! My camera took me to many places in 2014. Some happy, some sad, some new and some old. Still, it was an adventure and it was fun more often than not. Thanks for looking!

collinsville fire.

Dry conditions and strong winds quickly spread a house fire in the small town of Collinsville, Calif, on July 4. No one was hurt and in the end eight homes were destroyed, or half the town. Most of the homes were about 75 years old, built just after another fire devastated the whole town. For the residents, the process of rebuilding is just beginning.
