Hermosa, S.D.: the best of both worlds. I photographed another town for the Hometowns series. Just like the piece on Wasta a few posts below, I spend a day in Hermosa, a place with the small town feel yet close enough to Rapid City to enjoy "big city" amenities.

I went down to Wasta, S.D., to photograph the town for a monthly series the paper does called Hometowns. When I visited the Wasta Bar, I knew I had to return a few days later to cover the fourth annual soap box derby. Glad I went back.
